Industrial Road Stabilisation for International Warehouse

Selangor, Malaysia

Constructed in 2025

Benefits

  • Cost effective, eliminate the needs of deep ground improvement
  • Easy and Rapid installation
  • Enhanced Pavement life on soft subgrade
Client Challenges

The warehouse near Port Klang required internal roads to support 100 daily passes of container trucks and 220 passes of worker buses over a 15-year design life. The road should achieve a minimum serviceability maintenance, particularly in differential settlement and under acceptable long-term settlement range as per Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) guideline.

Tensar Solution

Mechanically Stabilised Layer (MSL) using Tensar TriAx was applied to stabilise the base and sub-base course. The pavement design followed ATJ 5/85 Mechanistic-Empirical method to accommodate soft subgrade, enhancing pavement support, accelerate road construction and eliminating deep ground improvement needs.
