Tensar International has appointed civil engineer Tony Roe as its new International Sales Manager.
“It’s an exciting time to take over,” comments Tony. “Internationally, TriAx™ is starting to stimulate a great deal of interest with its significant benefits of sustainability and low project carbon footprint combined with excellent cost and time savings.
“Potential is especially high in countries where there is infrastructure investment, and we believe there is a strong market in Africa as well as in India and Pakistan.”
Tony Roe’s principal responsibility for Tensar International is providing sales and technical support for India, Pakistan, Africa and Turkey. This excludes the Arab Middle East which is supported from Tensar’s Dubai office and South East Asia which is overseen from the Kuala Lumpur office.
“We have an excellent established distributor network,” adds Tony, “and, as well as supporting them, I will be looking at expanding representation into areas where we feel on-the-spot support offers good potential. One of my roles is liaising between our distribution and Tensar’s UK headquarters in Blackburn.”
Tony Roe has extensive international and civil engineering experience following graduating as an engineer from the University of Johannesburg, including eight years in civil engineering including geotechnics in South Africa, eight years in residential construction in the UK with Taylor Woodrow /Taylor Wimpey and the Kier Group.
